To my dear subscribers and all the rest of you who have had the misfortune of falling upon this home for my watchmaking interests:

It’s been quite some time since you’ve endured a post filled with my meandering musings about horology, and I do apologize for that. I’ve had several in the works for some time now, but it turns out image rights are rather more difficult to secure than I’d thought. And what’s a good watch article if you can’t even see the watch?!

Never fear: Remontoir will be back bigger and better than ever soon, and to realize these hopes, I’ll also be branching out soon via Substack!

Substack, if you haven’t explored it yet, is a delightful platform that already has a thriving community of watchmaking aficionados. If you’re into that sort of thing, or long-form content of any kind, I highly recommend it.

If you’re subscribed here, I’ve added you to the mailing list for the Substack as well. Shoot me an email if you’re morally opposed to that, and I’ll take you off that one and I guess just leave you on here…

In any case, I hope you’ll also continue to check out the new page I’ve added recently to this site, a comprehensive archive of all my past work writing in the industry. Things will continue as normal here like on the Substack, and most posts will end up in both places, except if I introduce paid content to the Substack. If that changes, I’ll be sure to let you all know with another post. For now, everything is free, so enjoy my unsolicited rambles at your pleasure.

Whether you suffer through enjoy my writing here or on Substack in the future, rest assured that I’ll continue to do my best bringing you enjoyable, in-depth analyses of some of the best watches ever made.

No need to thank me–that’s just what I’m here for.

See you there.

– Marcus

I’m a bit embarresed to say this, but thanks for the introduction to a new word, horology…my mind was putting an extr r or two in and thinking scary watches?

Wait, that’s brilliant… “horrorology” would be such a good title for a Halloween article. 🙂 Thanks for the idea haha!
